Priority Status runs from Level 1 to Level 15 (Lifetime) and determines when a junior golfer is invited to US Kids Golf multi-day events. Below is every level, what it means, and how many players hold each one right now.

What the levels mean

Lifetime Status

The highest Priority Status a junior golfer can earn. Lifetime Status is the rarest level in US Kids Golf.

Elite (12–14)

The top competitive tier below Lifetime. Players aged 12–18 who reach Level 12 or higher earn AJGA Performance-Based Entry stars for the following AJGA season.

Advanced (9–11)

Consistent multi-event performers. Higher status levels are invited to multi-day events earlier, on a space-available basis.

Competitive (4–8)

The most common range. Players here have posted solid scoring across a full Local Tour season.

Entry (1–3)

First Priority Status earned. Every player starts by completing four Local Tour events on the same tour in a season.

How Priority Status is earned

A player must complete four Local Tour events within a season on the same Local Tour. Status is then calculated from the two lowest scores across those four events, and can also be earned by order of finish. Once earned, Priority Status runs for one year regardless of when in the season it was awarded.

Status levels are unlocked in order for multi-day events such as the World Championship, World Teen Championship, and Regional Championships. Higher levels are invited earlier, on a space-available basis, and registration is first-come, first-served once a level is unlocked.

How many Priority Status levels are there?

There are 15 levels. Levels 1 through 14 are numbered, and Level 15 is Lifetime Status — the highest level a junior golfer can earn.

How long does Priority Status last?

Priority Status runs for one year from when it is earned, regardless of the point in the season at which a player earns it.

What does a higher Priority Status level get you?

Priority Status determines when a player receives invitations to US Kids Golf multi-day events, including the World Championship, World Teen Championship, and Regional Championships. Which Priority Status levels earn AJGA Performance-Based Entry stars?
